Serving as a PTECH/ Medical Magnet Coordinator at Fox Tech involved the duties listed above and constant, ongoing communication and monitoring between staff, students, parents, industry partners, and partners from our institutions of higher education (IHE). At the time of my employment, Fox Tech High School was an A-rated high school with all seven TEA distinctions, a 100% graduation rate, and a multi-awarded National Blue Ribbon School.

During my tenure at Fox Tech, over 75% of the students in the PTECH program were enrolled in dual credit courses as early as the 9th grade,  100% by the 10th grade, and had a 100% dual-credit passing rate at the end of the first year. Creating and maintaining such an environment of excellence required extreme diligence in building the culture of resilience and persistence, consistent and continual monitoring and adjustment, mentoring and remediation, and collaboration and commitment for all parties involved. An integral component of this position was the management of people, both within our organization as well as external partners.
